It's Thursday or #tbt
, so you know what time it is on our social media channel!
In this week's #SMSAAlumniSpotlight
, we're taking it back to the #Classof2014
with Samantha Murno, the Healthy Workplace Coordinator at @carleton_u ! ] "Choosing Marketing as a concentration was a no-brainer for me. I was drawn to that specialty because I knew it would encourage me to think outside of the box and foster my creativity. This concentration provided me with critical thinking, analytical, decision-making and creative skills that have allowed me to flourish in my current work promoting health and wellness to employees at Carleton. The Sprott faculty are engaging and clearly passionate about their field of work. I learned so much from my professors and my peers throughout the course of my undergraduate career. Working in groups encouraged collaboration, teamwork and innovative thinking, which I use regularly in my day-to-day work. My biggest piece of advice to current and future students is to take advantage of the co-operative education program. Doing co-op gave me real-life experience in the workplace and opened the door to my current career.
I would recommend the Marketing concentration without hesitation! "
We'll be taking a break for #ReadingWeek
