Here, you can see how an artist's workroom look like. Pia Linz employs a special form of measuring and visualising her personal surroundings - in this case Schillerpromenade in Berlin, where her apartment is situated. The fine-detailed panorama of the promenade is based on measurements which Linz took on foot while making some preparatory sketches in the open air. The definitive drawing, a store of time and perception sui generis, has been developed from a spectrum of different, paced-out locations; the addition of diverse perspective views of nearby houses, trees and the layout of the square.
"I’m interested in the phenomenon of individual perception of the world and its translation into an image."
