Yesterday I was able to push play despite being beyond exhausted after having a stomach bug, and a baby girl that was up every hour on the hour. It felt half assed, but I did it 💪🏻 today I showed up again feeling more energized and thankful that I did it yesterday. If you would've known me a few years back, I would come up with excuses to miss my workout 🤷‍♀️Now it's just a part of my day! I find time to squeeze it in, because it is ONLY 30 minutes. Whether that's waiting for nap time, using my lunch break or waiting for the hubs to get home so he can take baby girl, I make it a priority! I do this because I LOVE myself ❤️ and I want to take of myself... body, mind and soul!

This weekend was a whirl wind, but we were able to throw a lovely baby shower for my sister in law! I managed to get my workout in as well, and let me tell trying to decorate and prep food with a mobile baby is a whole new challenge 😆but we got it done! And boy am I feeling the exhaustion today. • Less than 3 years ago I stopped working out all together because (best excuse ever... NOT! 🙄) I was #pregnant  • Exactly one year ago I started my first #athomeworkout  program to get rid of #40lbs  #pregnancyweight  I couldn't get rid of on my own. • Today, I did my first #Crossfit  #workout  in years and even though it was a #killerworkout  and these crossfitters could workout while going in circles around me, I was totally able to hold my own! 💪🏻 Who says at home workouts don't do anything?!? I'd say I pulled off a pretty sweet date night! I was able to load up our little table, camp chairs, a cooler of beer and called in some sushi all without him knowing. Drove us to the top of Pillar Mountain and we ate sushi 🍣 , wine 🍷 for me and beer 🍻for him, listened to music and watched the sunset... it was perfect 👌🏻
Day 3 is a wrap 🙌🏻Felt good to get that done on my lunch break! One thing I love about my at home workouts, they kick your butt in just 30 minutes! Now that is behind me and I can enjoy an evening date night with my husband. I have a complete surprise planned for him ☺️something out of the ordinary is just what we need. As parents we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of work and parenting and forget to take time for us! Excited for this evening! Stay tuned to find out 😉
Lately I've been beating myself up over not losing weight like I wanted to, I ended up taking the summer off of weight loss because I kind of got lazy with it. However, I was pregnant three years ago. I gained a ton of weight , over 50 lbs. and today I am down 70 lbs from my highest #pregnancyweight  ... so that's something. Too soon for peppermint flavored americano? I think not! Bring on the winter spirit ❄️❄️❄️ One thing I have a hard time with is sweetening my coffee. I used to be all about that nasty creamer (chemicals 😝) but I've gotten away from it, and have gone to just a little bit of real cream and even almond milk. I know it's not meal planned approved, but one a day does not hurt!!! Who else has a hard time without a little sweetened coffee?? Also, I forgot how much I actually need to wear my glasses 🤓 it for reals makes a difference!!!

Day 2 of my new program went down 👇🏻early this morning. Totally feeling the soreness from yesterday 😆and I LOVE it. For some reason I enjoy soreness from a workout. It reminds me of muscles I haven't worked in awhile, and that it is working! Happy to have that done and out of the way because this mama has a long day. Now to stay on track with my eating today 🤦‍♀️ but when you have goals, you keep those insight!

Post workout yumminess going down! Decided to start a new program today, the Masters Hammer & Chisel 🔨⛏ This program I did a long time ago when it first came out. I'm excited to switch it up, as I get into my groove of just sticking to the same workout programs. This program definitely pushes you to your limits with weight training! After a few days of traveling and way too many indulgences, it feels good to have a program picked out and my eating plan all set up! So many reasons I love coaching, and this is one of them! The access to trainers and meal plans at the tips of my fingers!
So I've been totally obsessed with this Greek style cucumber, red onion, tomato, and feta salad. I went ahead and meal prepped a big batch for lunches this week. Add in some quinoa, and two fried eggs, and it is a complete well rounded healthy meal!!
