A long weekend, finally over for everyone, with everyone having a slightly different experience 🔥🌪
We had 7 team members compete this weekend (including myself).
Apart from Alira, I’ve trained all of these people for their first ever Strongman Competition, and they’ve stuck with me to make it all the way to the Arnold. For that I’m extremely grateful and thankful for the teams trust and work ethic 💪🏼😇💗🤳🏼
We had 3 podium finishes this year, 2 bronze and a silver. It’s great to see the people I care about being rewarded with a medal, and I loved being able to be there to join in with their happiness in the moment.
But to me, the competition is now over, and the next competition becomes much more important than the performance at this one.
Competitions are a day to show off all your hard work and see if you’ve progressed. The training is MUCH more important than the competition.
If things didn’t go your way at this comp, but you’re stronger than 6 months ago, then there is no need to stress.
If you continue to get better, then your time will come.
Even with a perfect day, you may still be unlucky and not win the competition. And we saw many top level competitors make mistakes at this competition and not place nearly as highly as everyone expected.
One comp does not define you. The pursuit of strength is the ultimate goal, the glory will come if you continue to train and be patient.
If training for this competition made you stronger, then it was worth doing, and we will be rewarded for it soon 🙂
